When
will it end?
Men of the
coast guard and fishermen collect bodies from the sea in the north of
Bosphorus at the exit to the Black Sea following the sinking of a
boat carrying dozens of migrants in the morning. At least 24 bodies
have been collected. Among the victims there is a large number of
children.
According to
estimates, the boat was carrying about 50 people. The Turkish media
reported that seven of the occupants of the boat - carrying migrants
of Afghan origin to destination Constanta Romania - survived.
"They
had lifejackets. But there were bodies everywhere, children, babies
... We collected 15-20 bodies, " fisherman Qadir Sert said.
From the
office of the governor of Istanbul came an announcement that the
service port was informed about a sinking ship within 5 km from the
coast north of the Bosphorus. A coast guard ship and seven speedboats
were sent to the area of the shipwreck along with an helicopter.
